Danny Peart - Bio

Danny Peart was born in Port Dalhousie, Ontario. After a few years at Lakeport High School, he disappeared for a while to Kingston, Ontario. He was either at university there or in the penitentiary. He won't specify.

He now lives in Vancouver, married to Janette Lindley and they have two sons, Max and Nick. He has worked as a Globe and Mail paperboy, a Bartender, a farm equipment Parts Manager and a Personal Trainer for the past 27 years. (His clients eagerly await his Confessions of a Personal Trainer.) He has studied writing with Gloria Sawai, Zsuzsi Gartner, Edna Alford, Seán Virgo, Carolyn Smart, Don McKay and Ernest Hemingway. Aislinn Hunter was his exceptional advisor for the poems in Ruined By Love.

Danny is a member of the League of Canadian Poets.

In 2016 he published Stark Naked in a Laundromat - 10 stories and 10 poems about growing up in Port Dalhousie, Ontario (Nicely introduced by his brother Neil Peart).

In December of 2017 he published a new collections of poems, titled Another Mountain to Climb.
